inclinometer... was it from a mitsubishi?

i read on a post here a couple months ago about people putting incline meters where the clocks used to be in their zooks...

what car were you getting this gauge out of? i seem to remember that it was from older mitsubishi monteros, but i can't remember...

as soon as i find out, i'm gonna go to the junkyard and check it out.

thanks

There was a stock inclinometer for the samurai, but they're hard to find. You are correct, the Montero had one also. It came in it's own case and mounted on the dash, but could be adapted to go into a sami dash. Do a search on ebay for "clinometer" - they pop up from time to time.

Re: inclinometer... was it from a mitsubishi?

i got mine out of a 90 montero. it (the whole gauge cluster) came with a volt meter and oil pressure gauge. i mounted mine in the dash. will require much filing and cutting (dremel!!!) but looks killer when finished. go slow when cutting and filing as you can't put any of that plastic back. you will need a new mechanical oil pressure sending unit, go to auto parts store and get the same one that goes to the montero, it will fit with no mods or adapters. you can also find the gauge in dodge raiders.
i have to admit that i did this mod for the clinometer, but the volt meter and oil pressure gauge are awesome to have.i can post some pics or do a search for post by "jeepn".
i think it was jeepn who already posted a pic,
btw, i have the dash with square vents and don't know if this mod will work with the round dash.

only a 6 wire hook-up, very simple!!
