third member front seal, where to get it?

H all, anybody know where to find the front seal for the rear third member. I need the one the flange goes through. I guess when I broke the U joint at Zuwharrie, the wobbling shaft screwed up the seal.

you may or may not just be able to tighten the thing up alittle. see if its loose, grab it and see if it moves back and forth at all .Just dont overtighten it

I have got them at NAPA . The part # on the seal is 401380 (not the NAPA #), they should be able to cross the # over to a NAPA # . Here is a photo of a new one.

Toolmaster, do you remember about how much this thing was? A ballpark figure would be fine.
Thanks,

Suzuki OEM pinion seals cost $10.50 at the dealership. I don't know about the aftermarket type.

Sorry I cant remember how much they were. (It's been a while) They should be under $20. It all depends what kind of discount you can talk them into.

Re: third member front seal, where to get it?

I like the Suzuki seal the best. Its alot bigger and seals better than the aftermarket seals that I have used. I put in a NGK seal once in the rear axle and it started leaking after two weeks. The Suzuki seal fits tighter and also has an extra lip or flange that is used to keep dust and other stuff away from the main seal area.
