tracker daytime running lights

I know I've read this before, but can't seem to find it with the search. How can I disable the DRL's on my 98 Tracker? I find them so annoying...

Check your fuses, thats how I fixed mine, but it wasn't a tracker.

Re: tracker daytime running lights

you can bypass the switch on the parking brake lever. The brake light on the dash will stay on, but the lights will go off.

What's annonying about them? My Sidekick has DRL, and I kinda like it.

Re: tracker daytime running lights

I think there was a write up on offroad.com about defeating the DRLs -- I did mine using the directions -- it involved snipping two wires under the dash attached to the firewall. While it's true that you can defeat them using the switch on the parking brake, that brake light will always be on the dash.
