1.6L Jeep?

I just read an article about how jeep is in the makes or made a concept vehicle using the new Mini Cooper S motor.the engine is a 1.6L 16V supercharged putting ou 155ft lbs of torque and 160hp.

I wonder what jeep mighta built using such a small and lightweight motor. imagine seeing the Samurai come back... in Jeep form!

Re: 1.6L Jeep?

if jeep did bring it out I'd be all for it! I don't care if jeep, suzuki, toyota, etc, builds one,it just better have a solid axle up front and a capable t-case.

Re: 1.6L Jeep?

I hope they change the gears...Cause the Cooper S is meant for Racing and high end power...I don't know either about the Feasability of the idea...English technology mixed with American one...ichh...Really not sure...totally different sport...But It could be fun to try for fun though...
