Lockrite is a poppin

This was the second outing with this new locker. Went wheelin with Sami and John and on the way home I could hear the rear litely popping when going in a straight line. It sound normal in a turn in either direction. The popping had a set rythm and changed with wheel speed. I've had this rear end apart so many times I've about wore the threads out. If this thing is repairable, I'm seriously considering a spool from Randy's R&P. Any Idea? Maybe some broken springs or pins? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Sounds like a set of weak springs to me.

Lordy I hope so. This is a brand new 1510 and the axle gears are pristine.

Re: Lockrite is a poppin

Make sure your tires are the same pressure and/or diameter. If one tire is a little bigger than the other, the locker is trying to fight it...

Re: Lockrite is a poppin

Gears pristine you say? hrrrm. Did you swap them from one side of the carrier to the other like the instructions say? Why have you had the carrier apart so much? Do you use Locktite on the threads when you reassemble? Is everything torqued to specs? How fast is the light popping sound?
