Daikan Clutches?

Are the ones on ebay a decent clutch if the only thing my sammi is used for is my girlfriends occasional sunny day drives to work? I have 30" tires and so far no t/c reduction. Is this clutch going to burn up pulling those tires or what?

Re: Daikan Clutches?

I ran their clutch disc in a 120hp VW and had no problems, haven't seen one for a zuk though.

Re: Daikan Clutches?

I have installed a few of the Daikin clutches on a few project vehicles (the SLEEPER and Aaron Kaklamanos rig) and there have been no problems at all with them. I would install them in other customers Zuk's. Go to AFTERMARKET4X4.com and click on "Projects/Technical" for engine swaps and the clutch installations.

Re: Daikan Clutches?

The DAIKIN clutch plate and cover are made in Japan. They are of qood quality for the price. I am using it myself after having to replace the original clutch due to wear. However, IMO, I feel that the original AISAN clutch is better. The original AISAN plate and cover has better grip...... the price on the other hand is about 30% to 40% more than the DAIKIN though...
