relocating the E-brake

Anyone tried relocating the Emergency brake to make room for a nice roomy console? Maybe putting a pull type under the dash or a pedal type next to the kick panel?

Re: relocating the E-brake

You might check and see if one out of a pontiac fiero can be adapted to mount sideways in front of the drivers seat. Tucked in close to the brace. The trick to them is that once set the handle lays back down flat until relifted to release.
