OT Gearwrench ??

Has anyone used these before? I just picked up a set that had the common metric zook sizes for $49.95. Other than not being offset, they look to be pretty good and I've used them a couple of times. Not too shabby... Just curious about others opinions on these...

Please be "uncensored".....

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.....LOL!

Re: OT Gearwrench ??

the ones from Sears are better than the ones from Ace Hardware....the open ends suck! they'll slip off a bolt or round it off....

Re: OT Gearwrench ??

Bob bought me a set for X-mas, cuz they are so sweet.

Bob also swears by them, as do many of the ASE mechanics he has worked with. He's has a giant set since the first appeared on the tool truck, and has had zero problems with them. When you are trying to beat the clock on a book rate job, these really speed things along. If fact, Bob uses them many times instead of the air gun.

Sears makes a knock-off, but I don't like the lever switch thingy. More things to go wrong.

Re: OT Gearwrench ??

And the Craftsman set is double the price of the Gearwrench set.....unless it's on sale.

Its not about the open end =P its about the wratcheting section .. and they're pretty good .. though they can and do break if used enough =P
