Re: Hummerai ??

Neat idea - Brent's grille would look kewel in it.

You could also keep the stock targa bar & go with 1/2 doors.

Re: Hummerai ??

looks pretty kick-a$$!! can't wait to see the finished product! you might consider switching L & R doors in the rear so they open backwards - that would give the roofline a really nice look.

i'm personally a fan of the Toy 4-cyl 22R or 22RE over the V6. less power, but smaller, lighter, more reliable, and cheaper to fix. been running the original 22RE in my '87 4-Runner for 300,000+ miles without a breakdown, rebuild, or any repairs! (other than wear items like timing chain, alternator, etc.)

good luck on the project!

'87 4-Runner, 31's, Downey headers & 2.5" cat-back, Flowmaster, 3" lift, and locked.
'87 SPAMurai, 30's, 2" lift, to be locked soon.

Re: Hummerai ??

I am still just in the concept phase, but have two bodies to work with right now so I figure it would'nt hurt to start and see where it goes from there.....so we'll see...
I may be only front wheel drive till I get some money to have a custom rear shaft for it..
and I am pretty sure the 1.3 samurai engine would not like running this thing around... so...
time will tell......but a fun project anyway....
