Subaru Performance Questions???

My brother has a 1997 Impreza Sport Outback - We are trying to find performance parts but the pricing seems really expensive and we do not know who makes good parts and who makes bad ones.

Any experiences or feedback on items such as intake, headers, exhaust, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Which modifications will yield the most improvements?

Thanks

Re: Subaru Performance Questions???

try finding a company specializing in rally preperations. they'd be the only ones i can think of that would do anything with a subie

Re: Subaru Performance Questions???

as i recall, subie parts ain't cheap. i looked into modifying an 83 gl, and the cost would've been prohibitive. I'll try to find the names of some places I found parts at. here's one in the interim, tho. try www.velocitysport.com I think these guys make performance engine parts for subies. There's also a company that makes 50mm lift kits for everything from the gl to the forester. They sell custom wheels and tires to go with the kits also. I'll try to find the name.

Re: Subaru Performance Questions???

Try this keyword:
Subaru webring
You'll find websites of Impreza, RX, Legacy, and older ones.
There's also a site for Subaru engine/airplane performance application.
Dual carbs with IDF WEBERS etc.
