subaru legacy sedan awd

I am looking into a 1995 legacy sedan for college. Looking for something with a little zip, a friend of mine has one of the previous body design and i am looking to go with the new one because i like it better. Anyone have one? any problems? plusses?

THanks
Doug

Re: subaru legacy sedan awd

HI Doug
I don't own one but I've heard good things about the Legacy.
AWD is better than 2WD handling wise.
Outbacks are nice to have also.
You might have to go to a Subaru webring and ask the pros who owns these Rally cars.
I like the old 4WD ones myself they are simple like the VW bugs. Gets me from A to B but in a less zip.

Re: subaru legacy sedan awd

I cannot speak for the 95' . But the 90' AWD Legacy LS wagon is great. i've had mine for 3 years. Bought it with 62k. (123K now). Driven to Wyoming and back (VA.) 3 summers in a row. Been through snow 18 inches deep. Water over the lights/hood. Been through mud where I shook my head. She keeps going. Got Yakima's loaded to the hilt. Get about 300 miles to the tank. Only thing I've had to replace was the battery and rear brakes and windshield (18 wheeler rock ) I Bought mine when I started college. Was going to sell it when I bought my 4runner but I cant...... Hope this helps...
