Legacy Outback

I'm now a Subaru owner. I got a 97 Legacy Outback and I love the thing. It has about 148k on the odometer, runs and drives quite nicely. There are a few quirks to fix though. I already sorted out the parking brake, got it adjusted just right.
I repainted the wiper arms and now need to replace a couple of trim pieces on the outside.
Two things I need help with. First, are the buttons on the climate controls supposed to be lighted? They're way too dark to see at night, so I figure the bulb must be burned out. I looked in there, but didn't see a bulb anywhere.
Second, I'd like to find the cross bars for the roof rack. Anybody know of a good source besides the junkyard for quality (but not expensive) Subaru parts?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I've been all over Craigslist looking for parts, but I found some cross-bars for the roof rack on eBay.

Does anyone know if the A/C controls should be illuminated when the headlights are on? I can't find an answer in any of the literature I have.
