Re: 6 cyl engine conversion

chris - which way do you WANT the engine to face, and which side of the drive axle?

Audi/VW have done 'T' drives for a number of yours, so you can have a mid mounted longitudinal eninge ahead of teh rear end.
ditto the older beetle trannies - you can get adapters fro damn near anything, including GM V6's, and V8's - engine moutned longitudinally behind the rear end.

if you actually want a transverse engine, which side (left or right) do you want the engine? its worth remembering that Honda motors are built backwards to most manufacturers (they spin anti-clockwise when looking at the front pulley), so its possble to fit a normal engine to a 'backwards' mounted honda, and still have forward gears.

or - were you going fro a 4x4 buggy, using a transaxle as a full time 4x4 setup??

fill in the blanks (here, or PM me) and just abotu anything is possibel.
