I ran a whole tank of arctic crap oil in my polaris this weekend becasuse i was out of the normal blue stuff. I seemed to run just fine, but i thought that i would check to see if this is bad? Both arctic cat and polaris oil may be mixed with gas for machines that are not oil injected so i figured it was alright. Thanks for your help!
Here is a horror story for you. A couple of years ago Flagg Ranch in Jackson Hole ran out of Polaris Oil for their rental fleet late one spring. Their dealer didn't have another drum so the located a drum of another brand. They seized 35 sleds in about two miles. Come to find out the oil had congelled in the injector bottles and starved them for lubrication. I'm not saying the oil was bad but one of the additives wasn't compatable with the other manufacturer. Be aware of the risk mixing oils. If you do switch just drail the bottle first.
I was told that yamaha oil is different from the rest. The other ones are supposed to be compatable. I used arctic crap oil in my polaris and it ran mint. I think that ski do will work also but i'm not sure!
