76 arctic cat

I am trying to remove the flywheel from my 76 El Tigre 5000. It seems to be quite tightly fitted, and I can't make it move very much at all. Does anyone have experience in removing flywheels or a special trick? Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I have tried tapping the puller, heating the flywheel up as best i can with a propane torch, exceptionally liberal amounts of penetrating oil, all to no avail. This flywheel is on TIGHT. Is this normal? Are there any other ideas out there on how to remove it?

Re: 76 arctic cat

Arctic Cat makes a puller, # 0144-112. I modified an existing gear puller that I had. Put tention on the puller, if the flywheel still won't come off, tape the end of the bolt on the puller with a hammer.
