Re: Hirth engine

Arctic Cat, Rupp, Skiroule and probably a lot of other small extinct maufacturers used Hirth motors back in the late 60's and early 70's.

Wow late 60's early 70's, That is a older engine, He just got it running and that engine runs very strong. Can you still get parts for them?

Re: Hirth engine

I just did a search on the net for them and came up with www.recpower.com but it says Hirth made their last snowmobile engine in 1974 and now supply aircraft with 2 stroke power. There is a link for authorized dealers on the above website so you may want to check with some of them to see if there is any chance of finding parts.

Re: Hirth engine

You might beable to get an engine manual for the Hirth motor at Certified Parts Corporation (608) 752-9441. I got one for a Hirth 440 Motor in a 1971 Chapparel.
