hard to start

My wife has a '98 Skidoo Formula Z 583. It seems to have a starting problem. When it is cold, it starts pretty easy. BUT, after riding a while, it is the biggest pain in the a** to get restarted. It acts like it is flooded. Has anyone with this motor had similar problems? Any solutions??

Thanks for any help !!

Re: hard to start

Wish I had a answer for you, a friend of mine has just the opposite problem, It is VERY hard to start cold but starts fine once warmed up, We have been trying to find out the problem but have had no luck yet, he has a 700 triple and after pulling 20 times with that compression your arm is ready to fall off. if we find a answer we will be glad to let you know! This engine also floods as yours does. Good luck!

Re: hard to start

Check to make sure your carbs are clean. Do you have a choke or primer?
