What's the model?

Sport, Trail, 650? Makes a difference. Not sure as far as the fuji factory sticker goes, but check this out:

Re: how to determine engine size?

see that's what i'm not sure.....
its an '89. he says it's got "SP" decals on it.

the only thing i can find is sport, which i know it's not.
are there any markings/castings on the engine or the heads?

Re: how to determine engine size?

It may say so on the heads. 650's do. I know that for sure.

Re: how to determine engine size?

I told you its an 89 INDY TRAIL "SP"488 fancool,or in other words its called INDY TRAIL Sno Pro which has the 488 engine,

Look at where the cylinders connect to the crankcase right behind the clutch and that should be where you find the "CCs" ie 488.

Hope this helps!

Re: how to determine engine size?

Both 488 Liquid or 488 fan are bullet proof

I owned 2 91 Indy500s liquids and would recommend them in a heartbeat, the only thing I hate about the fancool 488cc it likes its fuel 7-9mpg vs 12-14mpg LC.

But either way they both should give you many miles of satisfaction.

Another sled I would recommend would be the 90-91 Indy400 LC
