fuel/air mixture screw

I have a 2000 mxz 600 without dpm....does any know what the proper setting for the air/fuel mixture screw is ?

Two hours north of Toronto Ontario has 2-3 feet of snow!

The manual sais 1/2 a turn,plus or minus a 1/16th.Hope this helps.(Air screw).I`ve also tried droping the needle jet one peg,this has helped MPG`s a little , plugs arn`t fowling as much too.We have 2000 form dlx 600`s, Good luck.
