New Snowmobile Festival

In the better late than never category....

The green light has finally been given for the Reno-Tahoe SledFest to start in '04. This is designed to be a fun, West Coast festival for everyone to come on out and discover the trails and high-mountain country around Lake Tahoe. There is also going to be a great consumer Sled Expo in the Reno Convention Center, and the city of Reno is gearing up to Welcome sled heads from all over the country.

This is supported by the manufacturers and, all things going well, should prove to be a fun annual gathering. This year is going to be at the end of the season April 1-4. Since we have already had over 14 feet of snow here in the Tahoe area....i don't think there will be any problem for late-season conditions, which are usually excellent. If you have never come out and spent time in the mountains - now is the time to pack up the family, load the trailer, and head out west

Oh, by the way - did I mention that Reno is a 24 hour town?

Check out www.renotahoesledfest.com for more info and details on how to get on board.

See you out here.

Re: New Snowmobile Festival

That sounds like it's going to be a great event. It's nice to see somebody finally doing something big like this for us West Coast sled riders. If my ZRT600 was up and running and my truck didn't have a bad engine right now, I'd be planning the 3 1/2 hr trip from Klamath Falls, Oregon to check it out. lol I hope it does well, so maybe I can make it next year.
