polaris indys that won\'t start HELP!

I recently picked up 2 indys, one is a 400 and the other is a 650. Both have been sitting for almost 2 years and now they won't start. I have changed the fuel, and cleaned the carbs. I have spark with both and yet neither will start. What now? Where do I begin to look?

I am extremely new to the snowmobile world and do not know very much about them, but am mechanically inclined. Is there anything common that happens to sleds when they sit for a while?

Well, lots of things to check, first be sure that there is gas getting to the carbs, could be a plugged filter or a plugged line, it happens when sleds sit and the gas goes "sludgy." Other things to check are fuel pump, perhaps not enough gas is getting to the carbs, pumps can get weak and not have enough power to get enough gas to carbs. Now since you said you are getting power I would do the gas thing first. If you find that all this is in order then I would replace the plugs even if they are giving off power, a plug that has sit for a couple of years probably won't be that great of a plug, and because it gives some spark does not mean its in working order. If all this fails, your looking at electrical problems, perhaps a coroded ground wire etc. thhis is when the job will get tedious, just hope its fuel or fire, haha, good luck with it. Having the 2 sleds will make the sport all that much more enjoyable for you.
