93 Arctic Cat 550 EFI no gas no good.

could use some help with my Cat's fuel system has a battery that is supposed to run the pump to fill the efi manifold but when i apply the power i can hear the brain box clickand after about 10 seconds another click but no gass to the manafold(pulled the fuel line off befor the psi regulator) The question is, is the pump bad if so where is it, the fuel lines dissapear in to the tank area. could it be in the tank or do I need to remove the tank or molding? The line is not pluged because i can blow air back in to the tank. If any one knows what i'm talking about please let me know. Thanks Dan

Re: 93 Arctic Cat 550 EFI no gas no good.

Dan,
It sounds like the fuel pump is either not getting power or is dead. The fuel pump is in the tank. There is an access panel on top of the tank under the console. You could start by checking that the cable going to the pump has power. If so and the pump isn't working then it's fired. If there isn't power there is a relay under the hood someplace. There are actually 2 relays. One is for the EFi and the other is for the fuel pump. These are both tied into the main ECU harness. Hope this gets you started.
