Studs
 
I had my dealer put in studs last year about half way through the season . this year in our first snow storm i had about 10 get ripped out. i was wondering what to do if i should just put newe studs in there place or leave it?

whether you replace the studs or not depends on what you are running for studs and which ones were lost. If your running a low amount of studs, 68, 96 etc, then I would suggest it would be best to have them replaced. If your running a bigger patter, 144 ... then it's going to depend what studs were lost. If they're all in a similar area then replace at least some of them. The problem with losing studs is, it will affect snowmobile performance and it could lower the life of your track. Some of your remaining studs are grabbing harder now then before and this will stress your track. My thoughts are this, for 10 studs I'd replace them, simple to do, the hard part of setting the pattern and drilling the holes are done, stud and backer should only cost 1.50 - 2 bucks, so for 20 bucks I'd do it, good luck

I am just going to replace the entire set of studs. My main concern is the strgnth of the are where the stud got riped out.
