My dealer has suggested that I use BPR8ES plugs in my 98 700RMK. The book calls for BR9ES plugs. Is there any advantage to using a hotter plug with an extended tip over Polaris calls for? All riding is above 8000 feet.

Re: Plugs

Last week I decided to chage the factory champion plugs on my '99 700 RMK. I got a set of NGK8's from my dealer. Before I put them in, I talked with our local polaris mechanic. He said the 8's were too hot. He said to return them and get a set of 9's. The 9's work just fine. Something to think about!

Re: Plugs

I ran BPR8ES all last year in my '99 RMK 700 with no problems. However, This year I have been running BPR9ES. I can not tell the difference.
