Elan Ignition Retrofit
I'm trying to replace the ignition points/condenser on an 88 Skidoo Elan 250 single with a generic electronic ign. module. The machine starts and idles good but when I rev it up for a minute to check the timing the module blows. The ground seems good and I've switched the wires in case of reverse polarity, same result. Anybody have any experience with this type of conversion?
