1987 Phazer Problems

Hello, my name is Craig and I have a 1987 Yamaha Phazer. I just had the motor completely rebuilt (top and bottom end). And its running terrible on mid and top end. I've cleaned the carbaretors, changed the coil, checked the timing, cleaned the mag.......etc..... It seems to blubber at mid and top end still. If you have any suggestions please e-mail me. Thank you.

Re: 1987 Phazer Problems

Craig- It sounds like it's time to work on your jetting. I just got done boring my XLT 20 over and new pistons and rings (of course).
Figured it wouldn't change a thing on the jetting, boy was I wrong. Too rich of jetting will cause bogging and blubbering. Have you
broken the engine in yet? If not, wait 100 miles or so and see what happens. You shouldn't even be tapping into the top end until it's
been through the break in period.

If you can't buy what you want, BUILD IT!!
