I have 1992 EXT 550 Arctic Cat sled. What I need to know is how the crankshaft itself comes apart, I have to change the brass gear that drives the water pump and oil injector which is located right in the middle of the crankshaft. I have the crankshaft out of the motor and the two end bearings off. That is as far as I got. The manual that I have does not show the exploded view of the crankshaft and I don't want to damage it. So if anyone has some information on this it will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Crankshaft

The reason your manual does not show disassembly is that most folks can't do it in a normal shop. It must be pressed appart with
special tools. Time to look for a good snowmobile crank shop in your neck of the woods.

If you can't buy what you want, BUILD IT!!
