Dialing in the 00 700 RMK

Now that snow has fallen, has anyone done anything different to there new 00 700 RMK. Right now I have about 160 miles on mine and the only thing done besides the 144" track kit is gearing it down 1 tooth on the top sprocket from 20/39 to 19/39. The sled rocks and its still brand new. Has anyone changed any clutching parts, carb settings, jets, needles. It sure seems that it doesn't need anything and it all works fine for me at 5000' to 8000'. If anyone has anything that is working better please post. Think snow and winter rules. The Spudman

Re: Dialing in the 00 700 RMK

I've got about 400 on mine. It had a bog at 4-5000 rpm but I think we've fixed it. We also moved the secondary spring one position and it seems to help it backshift quicker. I geared mine down also and rode the other day with 2 other new rmks, a 141" summit x, and a '98 max and mine climbed a lot better than theirs. This is with a 136". I put on the 144" yesterday but have not tried it. I think the lower gear helps give you the "jump" off of the road and onto a hill. I don't know if it's good for just getting the highmark, but I think it is better for dipping and diving through the timber. Dat's what I do!
