HELP! DAMMIT!!! WEST MIRROR LAKE SHUT DOWN

This is for real! In reference to REDEYE's comments about land closure. This may already be a done deal. The north side of Mirror Lake Highway all the way to Evanston, the east side of Weber Canyon, including Smithmorehouse, Double Hill, Thousand Peaks Ranch Access may already be closed to snowmachines. If the West side of the road is closed...Why not the south all the way to Woodland, and on to Strawberry Resevoir? We need some support. Please BE AT ONE OF THE MEETINGS!!!

Good to meet you last night. I wish we could get more people put to these meetings. I don't think that snowmobilers understand how important their input is.

The biggest thing is that they just want more wilderness, I think there were some good comments on both sides, and we are for sure going to lose some ground. Hopefully it will be ground that we can't access now anyway.

Unfortunately, all of the area on that map is rideable, maybe a little extreme, but great riding. I hope they leave us some. If they do leave us some, I will take all of you up into there this year. Any takers????

Hi, Corey
I'm in. I want to see where you ride up there. I have been up there but I think you go in a lot farther than I have ever been. How much snow do we need before you can ride up there? Got your sled put back together yet? Did you make some new brackets to raise the back of your sled.

It usually takes awhile because that area is so rocky. I would guess mid-January at the earliest. I have almost everything together, just waiting on a track. I did make new brackets, actually machined them out of aluminum. I am getting the itch, might have to takes my mom's ZRT600 out this weekend and spank some Highmark butt

Re: HELP! DAMMIT!!! WEST MIRROR LAKE SHUT DOWN

I'm alway in for a ride in that area. So count me in. As for the meeting it went ok, but the ignorance for some people amaze me. Everyone was giving their thought on what they thought the forest service should do and this guy stands up gives his thought that it should be all wildnerness and then closes his comments with "We believe that snowmobiles should be banned from ALL public lands." I just about went through the roof. It is sad that there is such ignorance around. Most people there actually said that it was good to have us represented and that they realized we had rights to enjoy the land in our preferred way as to thiers. My thoughts on the meeting anyway. Bring on the snow.
