New MXZ problem...

Does anyone know of a company that sells silencers for the new MXZ's? The only one I was able to find was through Bender Racing and B&B Eliminators... both are near $200!

The stock canister is heavy (as ussual) and poorly supported (performance is fine, it's the durability/quality). The muffler is supported by a 90-degree-bent-sheet-metal bracket that mounts to the bulkhead on rubber standoffs. The more you jump your MXZ, the more you bend the sheet metal bracket... I straightened it out several times now and I am beginning to worry about it breaking completely off! It bends so bad that the bracket pushes the nuts into the muffler making disassembly very difficult--also, once it's bent, the muffler begins to rub the belly pan and causes it to wear. I have owned Ski Doo's for the last 5 years and have never had a complaint...

HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM?

Those of you who own the new MXZ's ('99 and newer) I would pay close attention to this issue.

Re: New MXZ problem...

I am putting on a bender tip--if anyone is interested, email me and I will let you know how it works. They claim wt savings of 8 lbs and hp increase of 3.
