\'95 XLT SKS track swap?

I have a '95 XLT SKS with paddle track. I think it's a 133" x 1.5". I'm not sure....it might even be a 2" lug. My question is: How much trouble would it be to extend to a 2" x 136" track? Would I need to change the drivers? Would my 600 pull it? I weight about 155 lbs. Would I notice much difference? How about a 14" x 2"? I have already geared it down and added a cannister, but I'm thinking of putting the stock pipe on again...too loud. Any ideas on where I could get a good deal on extenders/track?

Re: \'95 XLT SKS track swap?

I run a 95XLT SKS that came with the PT option I switched to a 2"x136" bighorn after one year and I had to put rail extenders on to do so also had to change tunnel extension as the track would rub pretty hard on the back of the extension when riding a rough trail. I run pipes and heads and have no power problems at all. Have seen guys with 2"x141" Camoplast tracks on XLT,s also with no problems. The bighorn that I originally run blew apart so I put on the 2" polaris track which seems to hook harder than the bighorn but I still have enough power to get decent track speed.

Re: \'95 XLT SKS track swap?

My son has a 95 XLT SKS with a 2 inch x 136 track on it. Had to go to smaller drivers but there is no problem having enough power to turn it. He weighs a bit more than you at 180 lbs. There are rail extensions on it. Stock exhaust on it so far.
