Summer project?

Ok, so what do people have on tap for summer sled projects? I'm in Utah. I've got a couple going. Just finishing up putting an '02 800RMK back together I bought from a local guy that had wrecked it. Not hurt bad, just needed front left suspension parts.

Other than that I'm pretty set. Bought a new to me '02 800RMK at the end of the season that has a bunch of goodies on it. I'm going to add the electronic reverse to it.

And I've got a 660 RMK on order from Jack Struthers at Carl's Cycle in Boise.

In a normal year of this year.

Normally in the middle of winter we have 12 feet or more in the mountains on the ground. I usually can ride by early December and have ridden at least into June the past 8 years of so.

Yea, T-shirt and shorts if you don't mind the cold slush spray onto your bare legs. It really is something to experience, snowmobile in the morning, water skiing in the afternoon.

Re: Summer project?

O.K. here is what i got planed....... I have a 2003 800 RMK vertical edge 800. Plan on putting on a SLP single pipe Turboal's Thing, heel-X helix system with a 50 and a 54 * helix with a red blue EPI spring. Primary will have SLP MTX weights in it. Will be removing the stock rear cooler and adding a short u cooler to allow for more cooling. Will also remove all the rail idler wheels ( 6 in total) and install ice scrachers. Will also remove the airflow stop on the hood for more airflow to the clucthes.
Last is I will cut out more venting on the gastanks shroud to allow for more airflow on each side of the gas tank to remove more under hood heat build up. Anymore ideas are welcome.

If i got this figured out right I should save close to 18 pounds in weights savings with the single pipe and wheel removal.

Re: Summer project?

....or the bike for a spin in June. As you can see, both are liquid cooled.
