how to get started

hi, i am new to orc. I was wondering how a guy would go about getting into the ralley race scene. i am interested in becoming a driver and building a ralley car. to do this, i am pretty sure you would have to go and get sponsors, but how do u go about that? and also, hwere do u get information about the races and events?any and all information is greatly appreciated.thanx

Find a local event that you're interested in, and go talk to the participants, they'll point you in the right direction. Good luck, have fun.

check out the SCCA and start with rally-cross.....go on from there...

Or better yet come out and work/watch an SCCA road rally in person. By working a rally you get to meet a lot of people who can give you more information than you probably even want. It is also a very good way to get familiar with the competition, so to speak. SCCA is always looking for new members. The next Rallies are Trespassers Wil and 100-Acre Wood.
