Toyota t-bar alternatives?

Looking for alternatives to the stock toyota torsion bars. Thinking of coil over shocks, but not sure if that is a substitute or what. Thanks.

Re: Toyota t-bar alternatives?

If you got the $ to buy em and have all the fabrication done, by all means, do it!

Not a substitute, its an upgrade.

Re: Toyota t-bar alternatives?

I'm actually going to be taking a welding class and get my certs this summer at a local hs. ROP program can give me mig, tig and the other one in 2 semesters. So i can fab my own stuff and friends stuff. I also plan on doing bumper to pay for the equipment =0) I plan on selling the truck i have now (88 4x4, lifted, 33's) and getting a stock v6 x-cab (89 and up) to make into a pre-runner for my friends race truck he's building. Also, if I do coilovers, do i ditch the t-bars of just not rely on them? Thanks

Coil overs become the support for the vehicle. Yes, remove the torsions.

What HS in the area offers this? You are local, in Carlsbad? Im in Oceanside.

Have to hook up some time.

That's what I thought, just wasn't sure. I'm actually in San Diego, but go up there often. The HS is El Cajon Valley HS. ROP program. I'll e-mail you. Are you gonna go to any of the races? Might be going to the 250 next weekend. Later,

Got to work next weekend. Going to the dez from Tues 20-Fri 23rd.

I work on the weekends only, so i usually miss out on cool [censored] like races, and the Expos that have gone on.
