Re: install trailerhitch

They should be bolt-on. Just attach to the frame and bolt!

You could also call your local U-Haul and they should be able to help you out.

Re: install trailerhitch

Pull the lic plate lights out of the factory bumper. Grab an air ratchet with 19mm socket and remove the 4 12mm bolts on the sides of the frame.

With the bump on the ground, sawlzall those tabs that catch the frame off. Loosen the 4 bolts that attatch the brackets to the bumper a little but do not remove.

The bumper will use the factory bolts that are most forward and have a weldnut in the frame. Start those barely in the frame, and slide the hitch forward(the forward hole on the bumper bracket is slotted). Get the new carriage bolts with plates and drop them through the horizontal part of the frame, rotate the hitch up and bolt it up. Slide 2 new 1/2" bolts with plates from the inside of the frame and through the hitch. Tighten the rearmost bolts first and work your way forward. Now go back and tighten the bracket to bumper bolts. Plug the lic illumination lamps back in and your done.
