1991 Ford Ranger Pre-runner

I have a 1991 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD that I want to make into a pre-runner. First of all how do I find out what kind of axle I have in the rear? And is Fabtech a good lift or go with something else? Where can I get fiberglass and pre-runner bumpers for my truck? answers to these questions or any information on pre-runner styling for my truck would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Re: 1991 Ford Ranger Pre-runner

Hi. Chances are you have the 7.5 or so diff in the rear. You can go with the Exploder rear end which is 8.8". And some of them have disc brakes which is good.

Opinions on Fabtech? Good and bad. You might want to shop around and get some opinions about it all.

Your best bet to get information on the Ranger and turning it into a pre-runner is to sign up for the Pre-runner list. There are a bunch of folks who have rangers and would be glad to help. There are even some great pros like Kreg Donahoe and Greg Foutz on there from time to time to give sage advice. Sign up! You can get there by going to http://www.prerunner.com and going through the instructions for signing up for the e-mail list.

Hope to see you there.
