Z400 Sprocket

I recently read an article that was saying somethin about switching out the stock 14 tooth sprocket for a 13 tooth. I was wondering if anyone had done this or knew how much this would help and be worth the hassle. Thanks

Re: Z400 Sprocket

Worked for me. I did a lot of woods riding so it made it a little easier to keep it from lugging to much. No real hassel either, bolt it on and readjust the chain.

Re: Z400 Sprocket

I didn't want to spend a ton of money so I went with an HMF pipe. It did well for me. Just remember that you will have to rejet, and the bolts in your carb can be a real bear to get out. When you go to put it back together replace the factory ones with an allen headed bolt. There should be a link here somewhere telling you the right size and pitch of thread. I bought mine at sears hardware.
