Raptor 660 Reverse Limiter

I've got an '04 Raptor. I love it to death, and generally ride pretty hard. This gets me into tough situations which sometimes require reverse. Problem: The Raptor 660 has a reverse limiter which makes it totally useless unless your on flat, dry concrete, otherwise when you let the clutch out the wheels kick about halfway around and the motor dies.

I'm a poor college kid, and I've seen some $20-$80 wiring kits that will eliminate the limiter. I don't care if my reverse light works or not, but was just wondering if anyone knows how to disable the limiter. I've traced the wire to the engine case, but after disconnecting this the motor seems to be limited in all gears. Any advice or info will be very much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Re: Raptor 660 Reverse Limiter

I need some advice on the same subject. I've seen over rides for $600, but I'm not willing to spend that much just yet. There has to be a way to by-pass the rev limiter.
