I have a 2004 Honda 300EX. I would like to have some more available power to tap into. I here from good mechanics that replacing the stock header does not always produce a greater powerband. If I can get some feedback on silencers and full systems, that would be greatly appreciated. Example: Yoshimura, Pro Circuit, White Bros, etc.
HMF makes a killer exhuast, it produces mad power gains, I put one on my 400ex. and was really supprised with it. This pipe is supposed to produce up to 6 extra hp @ 5,000 rpm which is a huge gain for the money. You can get them powder coated to match your bike too. The sound is pretty bad ass also, it is LOUD and meaty sounding (if you don't want sound they offer a silencer core for it) and because it is a new company from what I have been told the price isn't that bad either I paid around $220.00 for mine. Check out their site HMF.com.
yes HMF is a great choice, but it really depends on your budget...I would get a full system pipe for the 300ex because it helps it breath MUCH better. I have the yoshi comp system, yes ti was expensive, yes it is awesome quality, and yes the power gains were all throughout the powerband, and was very responsive, big big difference.....
Yes, I would have to go with the HMF too! they are awesome pipes to get for 300ex or the 400ex too. I dont have one, but my friends have some on there 300 and 400ex's and they love them and it makes a big difference. Maye not all of what you want, but at leats almost all of it. If not, look at the Curtis Sparks Pipe too. Plus, it depends on your buget, that makes a big difference becausesome pipes are more expensive than others.
