I was also thinking about getting the new quad rate shocks in front and triple rates ine the rear so I'm wondering about any problems you might have had or heard about elka shocks

Re: Elka shocks

I've never heard anything bad about Elka shocks(other than they're expensive, but you get what you pay for), but then again I'm not one of the people that hangs around the mx track. I would probably get the triple rate fronts and the quad rear if it were me, since the rear shock seems to be the one that takes the hardest beating when landing from big jumps and when accelerating though, since the front end is always light on the Raptor anyways when you're on the gas. Re: Elka shocks

I have heard bad things about elka, but mainly from dumb people, I would get them, there very nice shocks and almost all the pro's have em

other shock that are expensive but nice to look into:
PEP
Axis
Ohilins sp?
--not as expensive but nice--

Re: Elka shocks

I have Works Performance shocks on my R, not sure which ones, since I've never bothered pulling off the outerwaers to check em other than far enough to see the fronts are threaded adjustment for preload and have no rez's on em so they're ,most likely the cheapest model Works makes up front , but they seem to work fine for all around riding since I'm not an MXer.
