That appears to be an anti-SUV/truck (and pro-tree hugging) website, take it for what it's worth...

Re: Mini vs F150 in crash test

I'm sure if it's a mini and F150, the F150 wil run over the mini...

Bummer. 40 isn't a whole lot. We have had several head on collisions near by. It is getting darker sooner now and people are rushing home from work doing 60+.

Re: Mini vs F150 in crash test

Actually, it's been known for quite a while that the newer extended cab fords didn't do that great in the offset crash. The doors for the back seat open up, allowing the cab to deform more. The regular cab and crew cab trucks do much better.

Re: Mini vs F150 in crash test

Ya i've been doing research and that generation of ext. cab fords are death traps... The new F150's are the safist you can get right now though... The old dodge rams 94-01 are pretty unsafe too... The 97 silverados are the safist, 5 star driver 4 passenger... The new silverados are not that safe, pos...

Re: Mini vs F150 in crash test

its funny how on the little stats board they have on that site says how many people die in f-150s
Ford F-Series
pickup 110 128 238
Toyota Avalon

large 40 20 60

---Avalon had the least and F-150 the most.....
but think about it
HOW MANY MORE F-150S ARE THERE THAN AVALONS
Peace----adam

Re: Mini vs F150 in crash test

Considering the F150 has been the #1 selling vehicle in the US for the last 20 years, they'd better use percentages not raw numbers when looking at data like that...

Those numbers are percentages though, since they say:

</font><blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr />

The numbers are expressed in fatalities per million cars, both for drivers of particular models and for the drivers of the cars they hit.
