Mine is incredibly fast but it doesn't rely on stickers to boost it's HP... Sort of the sleeper of the toolbox world... It's got an intercooled twin turbo setup on it...

Speaking of turbos, anybody know how much the turbocharger unit off a 10L or bigger turbo diesel engine might run ($$$ wise)? I need it for a secret project...

Around six grand including all the plumbing. I don't even want to know what you want it for... it'd take forever to spool on anything that doesn't move enough air... even with a hundred shot.

ACK!!! That's way too much... I just wanted something decent sized to make into a gas turbine engine to propel a go kart or similar toy... I guess that project will be put on indefinite hold...

(Shorts, sorry about the evidently successful thread hijack)

Re: How fast is your toolbox?????

You can steal a turbo off a small car... like an 80s Nissan or Mazda that had these itsy bitsy turbos and stick it on a small motor. They used really small ones back then because they didn't know how to make them spool up fast. There's this Nissan at the junkyard with this little turbo that is about the size of a grapefruit. It'd be awesome to stick one on a Briggs or Tecumseh. Probably end up breaking the output shaft/crank like I did when I ran my smog pump supercharger setup. It's amazing how those little motors' valvetrains survive so well but the rod or the crank doesn't. You can solve the rod problem by purchasing a powdered metal one for pretty cheap... but I digress. The stupid crap I used to do a decade ago when I had too much free time.

Please refer to the following thread The Following Thread for discussion about my hijacking of the thread, and use this one for Shorts' original topic the speedy toolboxes...

Do you have to ask for the stickers or do they come with stuff you buy? Man I need to buy more performance type stuff so I can get stickers... All I have is a K&N sticker and that's stuck to my desk... lol

Re: How fast is your toolbox?????

You can go to Summit and buy a package of stickers. Then your toolbox would be so fast, and cool too.
