life sucks

I hate life anymore... It just gets worse and worse in the last 4 years, I keep thinking it will get better and it can't get worse. But it does. Around a month and a half ago or so my dad felt really weird one morning, he couldn't remember most of it and felt numb and dizzy... He kept going numb in hand and a part of his face and tongue... He was hoping it was a pinched nerve, I've had that before on my back and sometimes my face... Well it got so bad he went to a clinic, they said he was fine... So it kept getting worse so he went to the main hospital, well they did a cat scan and said he had a small abnormality on his brain... More test showed he had a stroke... So then they did a dye injection test and it showed that he had a clogged/blocked artiery on his brain... So here we are now, we just got from a specialist and his options are dark and few....
One to run a ballon into the artiary thru his neck to his brain, and expand it... A 10% chance it could rupture it and that would be the end... They aint sure yet...
Two which is the method they wanted to use is do a by pass on it, very complicated.. And might require blood transfusions, which is against our beliefs...
its currently 80% closed....

And so much more going on

Re: life sucks

Dude, terribly sorry to hear about that. All I would say is that if it were I or one of my family, and the dok was adament that the second way is better, than I would be for altering my beliefs some. But I guess thats just me because I have very different views on the universe and God. I really hope things improve for him and yourself, good luck and keep your chin up.

Re: life sucks

My grandmother had both of those procedures done. She is into her 80's and isn't in the best of health. She is a fighter though and she has her whole family supporting her. Sorry for all of your misfortunes but it seems that everything ends up working itself out.

Re: life sucks

Cody,

The procedure that you are talking about is becoming more and more common. I know that it totally sucks to have your dad going through it but if you think on the bright side your dad is young. 51 man, jeez... I know that it sucks to happen at such a young age but if anyone can fight this thing all the way, a young 51 year old can. Keep you chin up..

Re: life sucks

She is still kick'n. She is one of the toughest people that I know. After those procedures were done she found out she had breast cancer. She had a breast removed and there are no new signs of the cancer.

Re: life sucks

Cody, man, sorry to hear the news....

Sometimes life just picks somebody, and deals them a real ****ty hand of cards, doesn't mean you're out of the game, just a bad round.

Wanna hear young? My old man died at 38 years old, from a slow, miserable, painful cancer that started when he was 36...that sucks.
Last year, my wife lost vision in one eye (Optic Nueritis), which they said was a common precursor to MS. This year she was diagnosed with MS....and her bad eye has returned to 50% vision, and thats as good as it will ever get. But she's tough, and doing well.

be strong man....my mother always told me, things can only get sooo bad, then they have to get better.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Re: life sucks

sorry to hear about that cody! i know how bad it can suck I have had a bad three years(it just so happens to be that i have been in the military all of those). death(1 through 4) when i was in basic training my two aunts and two uncles wanted to go to vegas. one of my uncles had a private plane and could get them there in a hour from ogden utah. They had problems and turned around but didn't make it and crashed killing all of them. Death 5 took place while i was in tech school. my very young uncle of 36 had a heartattack died on the spot. Death 5 I was here at ramstein airbase. my young grandpa 53 had a stroke and died in the bathroom on the ****ter! that is how my grandma found him. Death 6 also at ramstein, my old uncle 62 died of lung cancer. Death 7 also at ramstein, my great grandma of 95 past away of old age. Death 8 also at ramstein my grandma died of complactions of a stroke and heartattack(this was last week). Death 9 two days ago my uncle reed died of unknown reasons. The worst part is i have not been able to go home to see any of them off! I have had to keep working for the military. I will be home in a few weeks though and will go to all of thier resting sites and lay of that to rest! SO i agree that life is sucking bad. I really hope your dad pulls through and it all works out. red
