Rock and/or alternative charts?

Hello folks,

Anyone know of any rock or alternative sites that give a top 40, or top 100, both current, and previous? Just looking for stuff within the last 6 months or so.
I'm not having much luck, finding a list.
Any help would be great, thanks.

Thanks Mark, I'll give it a whirl. Thats one that I didn't come accross in my searches.
I don't burn near as many CD's as I used to, so now its every few months, and I can never find the names of all the songs I've been hearing on the radio.

Cory,
I guess sometime between the 6th and now you wife finally saw the rack on that girl!
I don't know if this will help you, it's a pretty broad spectrum off music.

Re: Rock and/or alternative charts?

LPs! I have to say I’m impressed that one of such tender years would know about Mike and the Mechanics! I can’t always recall the singers name, but he and Glen Shorrock (?) from Little River Band were always favorites of mine.
No, my older brother was the John Denver freak! Our house had multiple personalities…at one end of the hall you could hear “You done stomped on my heart” in the middle (my little sisters) you got “I think I love you” and at my end “Hot Rails to Hell” (BOC) and the Allman Bros. I ALWAYS won the battle with my brother…I had an electric guitar and he had a whimpy little acoustic!
REO Speedwagon…an alright band in the beginning, then they got all “sensitive”. I saw Journey with of all bands Blue Oyster Cult at the Cap Center in DC. I don’t think I (clearly) recall Asia…was that some spin-off from some “super group” like ELP or something?
My personal CD collection includes such varied artists as Disturbed, Trower, Santana, Vince Gill, Collin Raye and (it needn’t be said, since grew up in Dallas) , ZZ Top and SRV…man there’s somethin’ about those guitar players from Texas…Hey, what happened to me then? Don’t like (can’t stand) limpbizkit!
Eminem’s coming around, ne’er heard of blur. I’ll pm you my address…we’ll swap CDs (Oh, What fun…a pen pal!)

Re: Rock and/or alternative charts?

I might suggest something to you if you are really into music and knowing the song/artist info. I've had sirius satellite radio now for around 3mo. and I just love it. There are 60 music "streams" that are all "cd-quality" and completely commercial free. There are also 40 talk/entertainment/sports streams too. Every song lists their artist and song title while they play. Anyway, if you haven't figured it out by now, I think its the best thing since sliced peanut butter. Well worth the ~$12/mo. I haven't listened to fm or cd's since I got it, and right now there are some really good deals going on the stuff.

if you want to find out more about this, here's another forum I belong to that's devoted to sirius. www.siriusbackstage.com

Just thought I'd drop in my $.02
