I am home!

Never thought I would be happy to be back in El Paso, but it feels really good. For everyone that gave their support while I was away, thank you. Hopefully I will be able to drive my truck to wherever I move to next year. When the dirty work on the the big red truck starts you will all be kept up to date.

Woohoo! Go samurai

Good to see you back, posting from home again. Be careful, if you mod that samurai, the big truck might be left sitting while you're out having fun.

Re: I am home!

Sorry to say, but i have no major war stories to tell. For the first 9 days or so of the conflict I lived in a chemical suit 24/7. No showers no taking it off to sleep. Several times a day(and too often at night) we were running for bunkers when the SCUD alarms went off. Quite often we heard the patriots blowing up the inbound scuds before the alarm ever went off. I tell you what, having an alarm go off and hearing the roar of a missile flying directly overhead not knowing if it is yours or theirs will scare the ****t out of you I don't care who you are. The next camp over had some guy drive into the PX line and put all the other camps on alert while the 3rd world nationals employed at the camps were removed. That 101st soldier that tossed grenades an officer tent and then took shots at people running buy was at the next camp over. Didn't know what that alarm tone meant or whether to head for a bunker or what.
