electrical help -- entertainment systems?

okay redid bedroom entertainment system wiring. went to play nintendo (nes) pushed the power in, tv screen goes blue, but nothing from nes, so i put on the snes and go to play, same thing blue screen but nothing being transfered.

here is how its wired.

cable jack -> rf adaptor nes -> rf adaptor snes -> vcr -> 4 compenent switch box

camecube, dvd player, playstation, hooked into 4 component switch box.

from switch box to tv. any ideas? i tried putting it to a splitter yesterday and its still won't work. i don't think the vcr is working either. dvd does work though. is the switchbox blocking the signal from the other units?

i wanted to play tetris last nite on the nes but damn thing wouldn't let me. i'm pizzed. help me out folks

Do you have the TV/VCR on the right channel? If I remember right there should be a switch on the back of the Nintendos to select channel 3 or 4 output, and if you are on the right one it would give you a blue screen. It's been a long time though so I'm not sure. This is definitely the first thing I would check though.

I have a JVC television, and I have to always select which input to read from. Its got three separate ones, I had a heck of a time with it when I first got it.

Mess with the vcr input. It might be set for component instead of rf.
I have to switch between the two. One to tape off the TV rf. The other input is the playstation component. You sure have a lot of toys.

Re: electrical help -- entertainment systems?

well a quick update. i pulled all the wires before classes tonite and rewired. then it didn't work and i pulled all the wires again. and re did it. i'm pretty sure it was something with the vcr and the input/output. thanks for the advice anyway.
