Spring thaw, found my Estwing...lol

Thank gawd the snow finally left, and my wife found my 22 oz Estwing hammer that I left outside in December ....sounds dumb, I know, but I hate losing tools, and finding a lost one, is just like getting a new one . Just had to share.

Ah. See, when I lose them, they're gone. Especially outside. People walk off with my stuff all the time. I don't leave it outside unless it's bolted down. You won't believe how many pairs of nice safety glasses I've lost in my back yard.

I hear ya Wrath, I usually guard my automotive tools like a junkyard pitbull, and rarely ever let anybody even use them, however, the home-reno tools, I leave all over the place as I'm always building something, or helping somebody renovate something.
In this case, I guess I dropped my hammer into the snow from a 12' ladder when I was installing my satelite dish, and then forgot about it....stupid me.
Those Estwing hammers are expensive, so I was pist that I had lost it.

It's sad. I never let anyone use my tools unless I'm with them. It seems people never take care of their own [bleep] and then have even less respect for somebody else's. I know when I use someone else's tools I treat them even better than mine. I borrowed a guy's timing light and cleaned it before I brought it back to him. He didn't think it was his because it was clean.

Estwing hammers aren't cheap. An 18-20oz hammer was around $25 seven or eight years ago. I know the "meat tenderizer" aka 28oz framing hammer was almost $35.

Ahhh yes, the Eastwing 22 oz framing hammer.
Just the ticket for those pesky Chevy starter motors.

I carry mine in the truck all the time. I used it to beat on the starter for about a year before I finally decided to replace the starter. $30 hammer vs $130 starter just made sense (for a little while anyway)
