Radar images of the shuttle debris

These are official NOAA weather radar sites showing radar loops of the debris cloud. The DFW one shows the least, but does indicate that Fort Worth was ground zero. The Shreveport one is probably the most accurate and easiest to read - Fort Polk uses a different color code. The Lake Charles loop (my home town) has buttons at the top that make it easier to control & zoom than the others, but I know the track it shows in the second frame is shifted too far south. My father was right where the debris hit the lake at the time it happened.

Re: Radar images of the shuttle debris

I hear they beleive they've found it in Southern California and South Carolina as well. I was skeptical about the thing being 200,000 feet over Texas at Mach 16, and all the debris landing almost directly under it in TX and LA.

Anyone seen that footage from the guy in SoCal with the pictures of the shuttle going over and things falling off?

Re: Radar images of the shuttle debris

I work with a weather guy, and he was showing us the radar images as it happened. Very freaky.

Me and the old lady were woke up by the explosions that morning.

I think the footage you are refering to shorts was from Nevada. And I am not just some random guy(LOL, extension from other post) I lived down there in Corpus Christy when I was a kid, man o mon, the beach, the babes, the sand, the jelly fish, the tiger sharks, THE SUNBURN. Eerie indeed. We were awakened by it Saturday morning also. I thought it was just the nieghbor working on his dump truck. It wasn't until we turned the TV on that we knew what had happened.
