Every man and woman in the NAVY is trained to be a firefighter, and I am ex-navy. If that counts for you.

Chalk me up!

Are you trying to get on an Engine or a 'Shot crew? Usually it's easier to get on an Engine (Range Tech) right out of the box, and work up to the Hotshots. If you haven't started yet, get running - try and do a minimum of 1-2 miles a day. Start adding a weighted backpack after a while and you'll be good to go

Re: as always :) calling all fire fighters

I dont care where I get hired on, Ill work as hand crew, engine, helitack, anything,, more then likely Ill get hired on as engine or hand crew, and work my way up to something else maybe a hotshot crew or smnokejumper

yeah texfireman you sent me the link, Ive half thought about just dropn an appliocation in and see what happens. Ill pretty much take fire job anywhere I can, right now I put in for any fire postions for the BLM in our state, and the 16th the forest service starts taking fire applications, so Ill hit them up then. Ive already been bugn them lol.

yeah anykind of fire fighter counts,, heck I was on a brush fire and had retardent dropped damn near on me one time. its a blast.

Ive been packn enough sheet rock and shingles to qualify as workn out, so I think Ill pass on that stuff, bucked some hay today, ahhhhhhh what a life
