Re: garage floor epoxy

get yourself a good two part epoxy paint like "DEVOE" clean the concrete really good so that the epoxy will stick well . then mix the two parts together and just paint it on ... just like if you were painting with real paint...Von Warner

Re: garage floor epoxy

i do believe that it does come in different colors and it sure wont cost you $2400 to paint it on . we used it to paint boats so you might check along those lines for locating it . Von Warner

Try ucoatit.com, they have different colors and even metal flakes for a lot less...

Re: garage floor epoxy

Hi Folks
The plant I work in is completely finished in the epoxy floor coatings. We've bought green and grey so I'm pretty sure it comes in many colors, at least the generic colors. Like Vonwarner says, we also use the Devoe brand, I believe its called Devran K-122 or something like that. The stuff we bought came in a 5 gallon can, but has 3 gallons of base, and one gallon of converter in it.....and it cots us about $350 cdn. It has to be mixed very thoroughly and the floor must be dry and spotless, and it will stick well. I can't find the square footage covering of this amount, but we've just rolled it on the floor with regular 10mil rollers...actually, we poured it on the floor with a pitcher, then rolled it out....easy as pie. The floor paint sales guys will tell ya the stuff is "self levelling"...but I have not witnessed this, we've always had to roll it out just like anything else. If you don't want to do that, we also use just a regular floor alkyd for our higher traffic areas, but it has to be done every year. Good luck.
